Bidra med feedbackA very historic restaurant worth visiting just to see it. I've been here a few times, had some great and some just ok meals. It had been remodeled a bit since I was here in 2014. f you're going to be in Pachuca you should...eat her at least once.
I was expecting much more for a place that is supposed to be almost a landmark. The Mixiote de carnero (113 pesos) was good, the service average, beer starts at 35 pesos, drinks 55 pesos and up. We ate there because we were staying next...door at the Hotel Los Baños.
It was a great place to have lunch on a very rainy afternoon, so I was very happy on the spontaneous decision I made. I had lunch here (alone one August afternoon and it was fantastic. I never felt rushed and the entire staff was...so friendly (even giving me tips on what to do around the city! The service was just excellent. I had the special of the day while included a homemade chicken soup, white rice, a breaded chicken be east with seasonal vegetables, and a DELICIOUS apples with creams and pecans dessert. Amazing. The meal was very satisfying and I would return for the dessert alone. Plus, the prices were very reasonable. I believe I might have spent less than 10USD for my entire meal. Plus, as a bonus you have the restaurant's history, on the walls, you can look at as well.
A mid morning. snack in the center of the city, facing the big clock is typical both for visitors and locals, who gather at this meeting point. However, the restaurant is open from 8:00 am to 23:00. The decoration is based on the handcrafts of...the region and there is a friendly atmosphere. The food served is typical Mexican from this mining region. Prices are very reasonable.
