Yolanda's Mexican Cafe - Oxnard

Great food, great atmosphere, incredible staff and a whole place to enjoy with views of the harbor.

We had dinner at Yolanda to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a wonderful evening. We arrived early and strolled around the beautiful canals of the Channel Islands port. What a beautiful place! We then went to Yolanda's and got a place on their terrace opposite the canals and watched the sunset over the port. Amazing! Look at the pictures. We started with some traditional margaritas on the rocks with salted glasses. I thought they were easy on Tequila, but I was happy to be wrong. Yum! I also ordered a Modelo especial design beer that was also delicious. As a vegetarian we ordered a cheese quesadilla with frits for my son and a double order of herbal Fajitas. The food was amazing, and the part was huge, even for two! The variety of vegetables that come with the Fajitas really surprised us. We're not used to that! We ordered a mixture of corn and flour tortillas that meet in place. To finish it, our server brought us a free flaan. We were really good to watch, and I bet you will be!

This week I put a big order for party plates for a business luncheon, and the food and service were excellent! The delivery came at 10:45 a.m. as promised, and we fed 150 people a very nice lunch of chips and salsa, salad, rice, beans and enchiladas, at a price of around $11/person. You can't even get food for this price! Thanks, Yolandas from Oxnard. You're never disappointed.

This restaurant has a really nice view, large plates couldn't stop eating it?s okay!

The enchiladas were delicious. My sister and I had different versions and we both were satisfied. I got a margarita on the rocks with salt on the rim. I think the bar tender must have dipped the glass too much into the salt because it honestly tasted like I was drinking salt water with tequila. The waiter was very kind when I asked him to take it back. The first margarita I got though didn't have salt and it was perfect. We sat outside and the view was beautiful. It was a great way to spend lunch time.
