The Oxford Retreat

Right by the train station this little bar is in a great location, had some great food and some cocktails. Cocktails were excellent and food was great too presentation left a little to be desired however.

Great little pub with garden. Staff were polite and served me immediately the Guinness was good. Nearest pub I could find by the station and I'll be back. I'm sure this place is rocking in the summer being by the river.

A delightful pub located by the river with very friendly staff. Ideal for those traveling to Oxford by train as it is conveniently situated between the town and the station. I sampled the bangers and mash dish and it was absolutely delicious!

We recently stumbled upon the Oxford Retreat pub and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, and they had good drinks,especially wines and cocktails. Nice selection of beers, too. Well located as near bus train station.

I have visited this restaurant many times, but this Friday I experienced what happens when the Said Business School gets out on a Friday around 4:45 pm. There were literally dozens of Americans all purchasing one drink at a time, which overwhelmed the bar staff. I couldn't believe I was in an English pub! However, the staff handled the situation admirably and deserve credit. This restaurant remains one of my favorite pubs in Oxford.
