The Crown - Oxford

After initially planning on eating something different, my companion and I decided to grab a pint at this restaurant and ended up choosing to try their pies. We may have visited one of their other locations before. We ordered a Steak and Ale pie and a Lamb shank pie and eagerly dug in. The pies were delicious, well-cooked, and not like the typical sloppy gravy pies found at most places. It was a fantastic meal with excellent service in a charming, old-world pub setting.

This restaurant offers delicious pub food and a great variety of draft ales. The pies are generously sized and flavorful. The establishment is located on a quiet side street, so it may be overlooked by passersby.

Really nice pub and nice staff! There is a very young waitress who works so hard, yet she smiles and ready to help, and the guys from the bar were also very helpful. I hate muddy peas with my fish and chips, but they had no problem changing it with garden peas and everyone was so friendly, open and warm. I enjoyed a delicious fish and chips with tea and my partner had Cheesy Nachos and a bear and mentioning the portions were great. Everything was great.

Beautiful warm and cozy pub and restaurant. The staff is very friendly and friendly. The food was delicious and a good size. Great for a beer and a beautiful yard seating area. Definitely one of the best pubs in Oxford. I would recommend booking a table, we simply went without booking, but it was only with luck we have a table and that was a Saturday.

We only had 2 days in Oxford and stumbled in this beautiful place, just arrived from our home in California. Not too hungry, but needed some susceptibility and of course apple wine on tap. Excellent cedar, fabulous chips and the best garlic bread. When we had to eat next night, we made ourselves here. The chicken burger should die. Friendly people and beautiful mood too.
