Portabello Restaurant Bar & Grill

We enjoyed the pre-theater menu with a discount voucher at this restaurant. The staff and service were excellent, and we particularly liked the swordfish and burgers with sweet potatoes. However, my plum crispy pudding was delicious but my friend's chocolate brownie was very dry and she couldn't eat it. We informed the waiter about the issue, but the brownie was still included in the bill. Overall, I don't think I would return unless there was a discount, as the prices are quite high. Nonetheless, the restaurant is located in a popular summer town.

The service at this restaurant was excellent and our requests, even though not on the menu, were accommodated. The food was very tasty; I enjoyed the lamb which was incredibly tender, and my partner had perfectly cooked chicken. The only downside was that the portion sizes were a bit small, but we compensated by ordering a starter, a delicious basket of bread and olives, and a mouthwatering pot of Aioli.

Everything was fine. The food was good, but not cheap, and some larger portions would have been welcome. Friendly and efficient service.

Excellent pre-theater meal when you go to the Northwall Arts Centre, especially with 25% off the food when presenting the theatre cards!

Our booking for five family and friends was easy to make, we arrived a little early, but they were ready for us, and looked after us really well. Even when an unexpected sixth person arrived for our party, we were looked after and another seat easily found. The food was excellent and the service was extremely efficient and friendly. Very enjoyable and I will be going again.
