Costa Coffee - Oxford

Reliable and convenient spot for a coffee Americano and M&S sandwiches. The cafe has strong internet, making it a seamless stop.

Went to Costa and waited in queue for several minutes stood directly in front of person serving and was totally ignored. The person directly behind me gave up and left. I waited three of four more minutes and was still totally ignored so I decided Costa didn’t deserve my business and I too departed I will not go back .

I have been to this coffee shop several times over the last few weeks and have enjoyed each visit. The coffee is consistently good, the store is clean, well lit and inviting. Over the course of two months of almost daily visits, all of the staff (Nasser, PK, Kyla, Carlos and the others) have been unfailingly pleasant, professional and efficient. Since I usually sit for a while and read the while I sip my coffee, I have observed the staff greet their regular customers by name, they know their usual orders and seem to be on friendly terms with them all. I get there early when business is slow and watch how the crew picks up the pace as students, office workers and construction workers come in in waves. The are as polite to the construction crews as they are to Oxford dons and I very much appreciate the equality of their approach to their clientele. I recommend this Costa as a good place to start your day with coffee and a friendly face

It was a quiet morning at The Coffee Shop, so my two young children and I decided to stop in for a bite to eat. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn for the worse when we encountered an employee named Tamira who was incredibly rude to us. She misunderstood my order, giving us all the wrong items, which was particularly concerning as my youngest daughter has a severe nut allergy. Despite trying to communicate with her in Portuguese (assuming she may have been struggling with English), Tamira appeared annoyed and unhelpful. After she botched our order twice and claimed she didn't know how to process a refund, I had no choice but to leave with my hungry children and find somewhere else to eat on a hot day. It was a truly unpleasant morning.

Stopped here very briefly to get a takeaway iced latte. The staff were lovely and service was quick. Even though I wasn’t staying in I noticed plenty of tables available.
