Bidra med feedbackWe're Friday night. the place was quiet. I ordered a cabernets. from South Africa, but I got one from Chile, it was cheaper, but not the one I ordered. the starters took well 10/12 minutes without letting us know what was going on. the main course came directly after the conclusion or the first court. the bark fillet of my wife was too much grilled, a bitter taste was discovered. we had no dessert. the headkeeper was nice, professional, smiling. the young waiter was shy, he needs a little more confidence to improve his service.
We didn't really have a full meal, just cakes, scones and coffee. Service was excellent, but the core part of an eating place lies on its food quality sadly I have to say I'm not impressed at all. Anyway, it's priced very reasonably so no complaints at all.
A group of eight of us had dinner here on a reasonably quiet night. Despite it not being very busy the service was pretty terrible. We were seated nearly 20 minutes before anyone asked if we would like drinks. Then they forgot half our drinks order and had to be reminded twice before we finally got our last drink a long while later. Food was hit and miss; vegetarian main course (the only option) was dry and boring. We won't be returning.
Food is really average. The bread roll was hard and cold like it had been overnight. Service was pretty OK though. However, at the end I paid by cash. After waiting for a while they didn't give me change. Thinking that they might take it as tips my friend and I left without asking.
Six of us, including an eight year old child, had Sunday lunch at Restaurant 66A in March 2013. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The crab, crayfish and prawn cocktail was copious and very good as was the wild mushroom filo tart for starters. We had the lamb and beef for main courses both which we can recommend. For desert, we treated ourselves to the warm chocolate and hazelnut brownie and sticky toffee pudding, which were both excellent.
