QQ Sushi & Chinese Restaurant

What a horrible excuse for a sushi restaurantThe sashimi was frozen, which took 45 minutes to come out in the first place.

Wow, what a painful date night my husband and i experienced during a recent visit to Owen Sound. We chose Qu sushi for location and prior reviews however the icy parking lot and lack of outdoor lighting was possibly the universe telling us to leave. We entered the restaurant as one of only 3 other couples/tables, greeted by the server/greeter/cashier/waiter we sat down and ordered. Serve was painfully slow. as again there was only one person working front of house (this being over the christmas season) the one and only sushi maker and one and only cook soon became increasingly overwhelmed as a large bunch came in to dine after leaving the movie theatre (right next door)followed by several others out on dates. Our sushi came bit by bit after continually asking on its whereabouts. The tea we ordered upon first arriving never came and forget refills on the water. Yikes. To top it off the sashimi and sushi we did order that included salmon never came as they apparently ran out. The diner took a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes to finish. leaving without ever receiving ordered items, the night was a flop, and very disappointing..What was alarming was that as the server/greeter/cashier/waiter was delivering food fresh from the kitchen, he picked up dirty dishes along the way placing them on the same serving tray. Double Yikes. PS the booths at the windows have loose backs, so as the opposite tables occupants shift so must you to accommodate for there weight. again very disappointing.

QQ is by far one of the two best sushi places in Owen Sound.My wife and I have frequented here a number of times since they opened a few years ago.You are able to order off the menu or do a "made to order" all you can eat sushi and Chinese food from a set, robust, menu.We keep going back for the great food, atmosphere, and reasonable prices.

Went here for the first time on a Sunday night. Only about 3 other tables full. Very quiet. The service was not as fast as it could have been, although once our orders were taken the food came out fast. The food was very good. Looking at the floor, it may be one of the dirtiest I've ever seen. There was a squid leg right beside our table. It had clearly been a while since it was last cleaned. This worries me a bit to how the kitchen may be cleaned. For the food I would recommend, although because of the cleanliness I don't think I would risk going back.
