The Mixx — Hawthorne Plaza

The salad (garden of Eden) was not what I was expecting, but it had great taste! I didn't need dressing because it was so moist. But to get the intended taste I added some. The club sandwich was dry, I should have known better than ordering turkey.

Great fast and healthy salad options. Dine in is nothing super special, but the salads are quality ingredients and great flavors. It's everything you want in a healthy-but-so-delicious-you-don't-realize-it's-healthy salad.

Stood in line. Ordered a Quinoa bowl. The worker simply said “go over there” And pointed to the cashier. I went to cashier and ordered. She told me “we don’t have quinoa bowls today”. I asked why. She said short staffed. I said it would have been helpful if the worker had just told me that. So I had to go back and wait in line again. After 15 minutes in line, I went to the same worker behind the counter and placed my sandwich order. He again just pointed to the cashier and said “go over there” … – show

The food was good.. the experience, was ok. There were a lot of fruit flies around, for whatever reason.. I know we got there 40 minutes before they closed.. but the staff in the back was already in closing clean-up, blaring music mode. I do understand it was a Saturday night, and the people working were just looking forward to getting off. So that part wasn't really upsetting. I'll come back.. but with the prices, I'd expect a better overall experience.
