J. Gilbert's Wood-fired Steaks Seafood Kansas City

J Gilbert's restaurant is an established steakhouse in Overland Park and it didn't disappoint. We opted for the seafood medley, and it was amazingly good and fresh. We also have the crab bisque and crab cakes for the main course. The bisque had plenty of crab meat and the broth was creamy and delicious. The sides of grilled asparagus and french fries were also first class. To top it all off, we were treated to some creamy chocolate cake and coconut layer cake. Service was great.

Our lovely anniversary dinner turned disappointing when it took close to an hour to get our meals of 2 medium rare steaks and green beans. We choose carefully how to spend special dinners throughout the year. J. Gilbert's has been our restaurant of choice until recently. It was so disappointing that we will be looking elsewhere for that special place to celebrate our life events. Food tasted great, time spent waiting was ridiculous. When you spend $200+ for 2 you expect better.

We went there for my husband's birthday and had a great experience, as usual. Food was great, server was friendly and we had a great time! The birthday card and dessert was a nice treat.

We have celebrated many Anniversary dinners at J. Gilbert's. This dinner was exceptional beginning with the greeting at the front desk, our server and a perfectly prepared steak and sword fish steak. This is one of Kansas City's BEST steak and seafood restaurants !

Undeniably the best steaks in the city. The sides of mashed potatoes and creamed corn with bacon made the filet even better. Dakota provided exceptional service. A. Just visit locale for special occasions.
