Bidra med feedbackStill a really excellent meal. this time were 5 of us and the place was packed. service was still ok and the foiod absolutely 100% my Gauner steak was the end of the filets and a little over boiled for mr, but different from that. we all said "excellent '! I live in london, but. I am back! I have friends in the opposite and recommended the journey of koln even worth it!
We were four nights in the hotel restaurant ludenbach, which is about 15 km from the car. the room was beautifully appointed with two single beds and a 2m rollaway bed for our 6’4 son. Extras include hair dryers, water bottles, flat screen televisions and irons. we enjoyed. a rich breakfast buffet every morning with typical German kitchen cold meat, cheese and salads of eggs and meat in mayonnaise as well as the delicious selection of bread and continental breakfast items, juices, jams, ricotta cakes, cooked eggs and tea and coffee. we also ate in the restaurant in the evening and eating was delicious, well presented and of the highest quality. we noticed that there were regular locals eating there as well as guests. the hotel is located near the car train to car and just a few minutes drive to the train station and the town overath. the hotel is flanked by land, forest and river and only a short drive to a beautifully restored castle. the owners were so friendly and gave us cards and instructions for sights and as we had to go to Cologne at 2.30 a.m. to drive an early train to berlin, they presented us each with an breakfast for the trip. each of the rooms has a beautiful view either on the grounds, or the hills behind the hotel or over the fields. they have many family-friendly attractions like a bowling alley, but we don't have any of them. the costs are available for the quality of the room and the amenities. one of the summer attractions is the evening outdoor bar and eat from a caravan bar. tables and chairs offer a relaxing place to sit and drink and talk to other traveling as well as local who flock to the hotel every night. we will come back next year definitiw.
This hotel is very nice and very clean. the natives say that it was originally built by a farmer who had his land for the autoroute that had to sell near. we thought the hotel prices were very reasonable, and the breakfast was very nice. with a very nice host who made for us caffe latte with espresso. wwe will be happy to go back soon.
Yet another truly superb meal. This time of us and the place was packed out. Service was still ok and the foiod absolutely My pals steak was the end of the fillet and a little over cooked for MR but other than that...we all said 'excellent'! I live in London but... I will be back! I have friends in the area and have recommended it worth the drive from Koln even!
We stayed four nights in the Hotel restaurant Ludenbach which is about from Cologne. the room was beautifully appointed with twin beds and a rollaway bed for our son. Extras includes hair dryer, bottled water, flat screen tv and iron. We enjoyed...a sumptuous buffet breakfast each morning with typical German cuisine cold meats, cheeses, and salads of eggs and meats in mayonnaise as well as the delicious variety of breads and continental breakfast items, juices, jams, ricotta cake, boiled eggs and tea and coffee. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious, well presented and of the highest quality. We noticed there were regular locals who ate there as well as guests. The hotel is near the Freeway to Cologne and just a couple of minutes drive to the train station and the township of Overath. The hotel is flanked by farmland, forest and the river and only a short drive to a beautifully restored castle. The owners were so friendly and gave us maps and directions and suggestions for sightseeing and as we had to leave at to drive to Cologne for an early train to Berlin, they presented each of us with a take away breakfast for the trip. Each of the rooms has a lovely view either of the grounds, or the hills behind the hotel or over the fields. They have many family friendly amenities such as a bowling alley but we did not use any of these. The cost is most reasonable for the quality of the room and amenities available. One of the summer attractions is the evening outdoor bar and food available from a caravan type bar. Tables and chairs offer a relaxing place to sit and drink and talk to other travellers as well as locals who flock to the hotel each night. We will definitely be returning next year.
