Broa De Mel - Ourém

After touring Fatima, I was looking for a quick place to have lunch. it 's slim pickings in the area and I went to the Apollo Caffe but the wait staff was aloof, disinterested and unhelpful when I passed by so I kept walking. One of the wait staff came out to speak to me, explaining the menu in his very good English. I wanted something very Portuguese and chose the bacalhau a bras, shredded codfish mixed with potatoes and egg. I love all three things so why not? The service was prompt, I barely waited 5 minutes for my food before I was served. It was a good, quick meal, not salty or heavy on spices. When I paid, the gentleman behind the counter asked if everything was fine, to which I replied, Yes! and it was.

We truly enjoyed our lunch at this small restaurant, esp. the friendly service from Jorge and the nice outdoor seating. Food is very good, and prices are quite reasonable.

Trattoria in posizione centrale con tavoli anche all'aperto. Il menu non è molto variato ma in compenso il cibo è buono ed il prezzo decisamente contenuto. Personale molto molto gentile che cerca sempre di accontentarti.
