Thai Flame Restaurant - Ottawa

I recently discovered my love for green curry. Unfortunately, I forgot to inquire about the spice level, and as someone who doesn't handle spice well, I was taken by surprise when the heat hit the back of my throat causing me to cough and tear up a bit. However, I eventually got used to the spiciness and enjoyed my meal. The addition of eggplant, which I initially thought was a nice touch, turned out to be disappointing as it lacked flavor and was overly mushy with tough skin. The host/waiter, who happened to be the same person, was incredibly friendly and enhanced our dining experience. Despite the small size of the restaurant, my friend and I felt the need to keep our voices down, but it didn't bother me too much.

Despite its location in a strip mall, don't be deceived - the interior of the restaurant is elegant and the food is outstanding. The staff is also very hospitable and friendly.

Just needed a restaurant nearby to my hotel. Read the reviews and they were correct. I did take out didn't eat in the restaurant but saw on the menu you get free refills on rice (nice touch). It was fairly busy. Heard lots of positive comments as meals were served. My TOM YUM soup was delicious a little light on the veggies, I also order Green Chili paste Chicken.. light on the chicken and veggies lots of broth. Flavour was excellent.

Best Thai food around and the ownership/ staff is amazing!

This place is always my favourite Thai restaurant. As a frequent traveller to Thailand, all foods taste genuine and amazing! I love their noodles and sticky rice. Their green curry is also amazing!
