Rainbow Foods in Ottawa has everything. They have a great selection of vegan products including local made artisan nut cheeses, locally made vegan frozen meal choices and locally grown quinoa!. If you cannot find a product here, you likely cannot find it anywhere in Ottawa! For items carried at grocery stores their prices are comparable for the same products. They offer many organic items and offer gluten free tours educating about so many items available. The staff is friendly and they have a rewards program....I first went for a merchant vegan day and discovered so many products... There are even kefir and kombucha products and cultures. They have both sprouting supplies and great sprouted products. It has become my main grocery store.

This is where I buy about 60% of my groceries, and I absolutely love it. I've been shopping here for years, and they consistently stock new products, offer samples, and have a fantastic staff. There are plenty of vegan options available, and most of the food is vegetarian (though there is some meat in the freezer section now). They carry a wide variety of vegan ice cream alternatives and 'cheese' products, as well as a lot of locally sourced foods. I go at least once a week and have never been disappointed. They also have a great rewards program that allows you to earn money back for frequent visits. While most of the products are organic and locally produced, which can make them a bit pricey, the quality is excellent. Plus, there are many bulk options available.

I absolutely love this health food shop! They have a huge selection of food, supplements, and personal care products, many of which are vegan and sustainable. Occasionally, they even host product demonstrations! The last time I visited, they had an amazing kombucha refill station.

This Rainbow Foods location is undoubtedly the best health food store in Ottawa. They offer a wide variety of products, including many fresh, locally sourced items.
