Metcalfe Fare - Ottawa

The service, menu options, dining experience, and cleanliness at this restaurant seriously need attention. If you're just looking for a cold beer, then this might be the place for you. I hope that the management can make some positive changes, as I visited the restaurant last week.

This was a return visit to this place. We enjoyed the meals again. There was only one waitress who served everyone and she did a fantastic job to maintain the cook and get a warm and friendly demeanour. No one felt neglected as... she circulated constantly and offered what wanted before someone had to ask for their wishes. We will return to the benefits of these down home plates served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Tent for breakfast and coffee mugs were dirty (2.) The food was not great, very fat and not fresh. To bad food is not better because the place has a nice atmosphere and the server was really nice.

Pampered with family. The staff was very attentive and polite. Relatively wide choice of menu. Sports umbrellas a little overwhelming, but the clean restaurant and delicious food make for it.

We all had fabulous entrees and all of the ingredients were fresh. The wine was an excellent price, as were the entrees! There are many choices! Enjoy!
