Edoko Japanese Steak House - Ottawa

Service was good. fare was in order, no salat available due to lack of ingredients. in fairness this restaurant suffered during the pandemic. very few parasols on Monday evening.

Really remarkable place, great eating great portions and so much taste and lots of showmanship. very enjoyed our expedition

Loves this restaurant. the meals are cheap, and some can be boiled directly in the table in front of their eyes! and sometimes they can see an important ottawa political figure that shines there with entourage; I know, I have!

Clean, but quite outdated (bathroom, lobby. my man took chicken teriyaki, the menu says it is with a sauce. I took steak and lobster, it wasn't with sauce to find out it was. the server said that all their tellers are with Teriyaki sauce. it's too saucy, too much sauce. is it the fact that it is not fresh? steak seems to be good, but the most praised one that was not fresh at all. it smells bad and terrible tast. what do they think would come to give this kind of food! I thought I was sick even though they didn't blame us for it. that was not the experience we were looking for.

We called for reservations early in the day and arrived 10 minutes before. we were informed that the table was just finishing and we are asked to wait in another part of the small restaurant. we were not offered any water or other beverages. we...saw members of the table leaving. after 30 mintues we asked and were informed they had paid but were not leaving. we looked at the menu to be prepared to order as by then we were working on a time limit and were getting rather hungry including the diabetics who had prepared to eat at a certain time). after 45 minutes we were directed to the table which was being reset. we were not given any menus, no beverages offered, no staff came to the table. we left tired and hungry after almost an hour. unfortunately the food smelled good and others seemed to be enjoying the meal.
