Donna's Express - Ottawa

I stopped by on my way home and was very hungry. I noticed on the menu they had "Toasted Ravioli," which is actually deep fried.

The service at this restaurant was awful. I walked in by myself and no one greeted me at the door. I had to find the hostess/server and ask if I could sit at the bar.

Ideal for a budget-friendly, indulgent breakfast and conveniently located just a short stroll from the Westboro bus station.

We had a Contra dance event to attend in the area last Saturday,& needed a quick-fix bite. Chose the onion rings and nachos-which were great. Take-out servings were generous. Also picked up a piece of baklava. This is the kind of eating place one might want to sit and relax in while tasting their cooking. Plan to spend more time next visit to see what else is good. The place has done a makeover so I didn't recognize it from having a breakfast meeting there years ago..

I work nearby and can always get my take out order in 10-15 minutes. Great chicken sandwich and a variety of soups. Today was Thai chicken - really good. Not expensive either.
