Bidra med feedbackThis Italian restaurant has become our favorite spot to dine. They have a fantastic menu and wine list.
My husband and I have visited Antipazzo for lunch and dinner on multiple occasions. Every time we have eaten at this fantastic restaurant, we have been treated to delicious homemade dishes. From their homemade bread and condiments to their salads, soups, and main courses, everything has been incredible. Each dish is a delight, and we have never been let down. We highly recommend this charming restaurant!
The atmosphere at this restaurant is delightful and the staff is knowledgeable. My only suggestion to the chef would be to broaden the menu.
We visited them last month and were surprised, how friendly and helpful was a service, how delicious was our dinner and of course (!) how tasty was wine. If you have time in Ottawa, I would recommend you to visit Antipazzo!
I've had the pleasure of dining at Antipazzo on several occasions and really can't find much fault. My first visit was with a group of friends for lunch back in April; it was a lovely afternoon all around and the lunch portions are very well portioned! The four of us shared a number of dishes to start and were all particularly impressed with the Insalata Invernale. The pesto on the plate really knocked it out of the park and was phenomenal with the house bread (don't hesitate to ask for more!).The second time I had the pleasure of trying out the new patio in early June! The waitstaff were extremely accommodating even while working both the inside and the patio and the food was just as good as I had the first time. I tried some new wines that time and particularly loved the Tommasi Ripasso. The owner Tony has a keen eye for wines and somehow my wine paired excellently with every course - even dessert. (The flour less chocolate cake was to die for!)My most recent visit was a decadent dinner with family. The Insalata Invernale had changed to the Insalata Estiva. I was hesitant because I was so hooked the first time I had I was unsure if I would like the summer version. but it was even better than the original. They are now using gorgeous heirloom tomatoes from a local farmer at Just Farms (as our server kindly described) which is like summer in your mouth.I really loved how the menu can be as flexible as needed. You could have a 5 course meal if you wanted or one main! There is also a varying price range on the wines so I could try some of the more budget friendly vino sfuso ("loose wine" - try it)! or I indulge in a pricer wine when feeling like a treat. The first two times I was skeptical of the espresso as it didn't have much crema on it but they've since gotten a new machine and it is much, much better! I would recommend trying an americano to finish the meal.
