Bidra med feedbackWe stopped by this place at about 8 am on a Saturday. There were 4 cars in the drive thru, so we decided to go inside. We were the only customers inside. There were 4 people working, 2 drive thru, 1 doing something in the back, and 1 just getting there. No one acknowledged us as we stood by the register for at least 5 minutes. One of the workers even came up to the register, which we were right in front of, and didn’t say anything to us for another 5 minutes, and when he did, it was “I’ll be right with you.”Finally we get to order. We ordered 1 small and 1 large black house coffee and a Rice Krispie treat. We waited for about 10 minutes for someone to give us our coffee. I was watching the girl on bar make drinks and the guy who rang us up hopped on the espresso bar and started making drinks too. When they did get to the point where they were working on our coffees, I watched the guy who rang us up pour espresso shots into a cup and start to fill it with water, which is an americano, NOT the same as what I ordered, and something that my partner and I both dislike very much. I asked the drive through girl if he was making the americanos for us, and she said yes. She told me their coffee machine was down and has been for a while so they have no way to make regular coffee. There was absolutely NO mention of this at the register. We would have gone to their other location to get regular coffee if they would have told us about the coffee when we ordered. We should have been given the opportunity to choose if we wanted an americano instead of the business assuming we wanted one. As an ex-barista, I would never try to replace someone’s drink with something else unless they were aware and ok with it.The customer service at this place is in desperate need of some work. Our score for this place was originally 1/2 star. The Rice Krispie treat was the reason for the full 1 star. It was pretty good.
Their strawberry chia seed pudding is wholesome and just a touch on the sweet side. My Americano with pumpkin spice was perfect. Not too sweet, tasted like real spices, and the espresso itself is rich, toasty and flavorful, not like some of the third wave coffee offerings that taste too bright and berry-like.
I took a Dr there for coffeeHe didn't see sign to not touch cookies that were single sold. The young lady was quite rude to him. He felt like a criminal. Maybe don't have area look like a self service, then holler at customer. Embarrasing.
Great coffee, bad customer serviceBeen a fan of their coffee until me and my coworkers went in for the first time in our fast food work clothes. We always take our time sitting and chatting until we buy our coffee. We were the only customers inside at the time too as this was 4 or 5 PM. But one day we came in still in our work clothes, as we were taking our time before we get our coffee, the male barista told us we have to buy something as they don’t allow people to just sit in without getting anything. We were taken aback and confused because this isn’t our first time at Jeremiah Joe’s (especially the Downtown location) and this has always been our routine. We were never told off when we would come in and take our time like the usual when we’re not in our work clothes until the day that we were.We felt discriminated but still got our coffee out of politeness but we talked about never going back to that location. Downtown Jeremiah is a bit more friendlier at least and we still love the taste of their coffee. I know this is just one isolated case and a sad experience.
Finally got to use the espresso bean I purchased. Just high quality, great tasting espresso came out :)The store was staffed with two nice, competent, quick young ladies. They recommended which was the right bean for my taste. Nothing like buying local from people who care and make coffee right. Thank You.
