I really don 't like to provide poor reviews, but this place deserves it. We ordered 3 different pasta dishes, all of which were extremely salty. However, the carbonara had a very unpleasant after-taste in addition. My wife, who ordered a glass of wine, was poured maybe 50 ml. I had to wave the waiter over to pour the remaining 100 ml for a full glass. The most offensive dish, however, was the green salad (see photo). A plate with nothing but perhaps 7 forkfuls of iceberg lettuce, and nothing else in it whatsoever, arrived at the table. Well, it was green, that 's true. Otranto is full of great dining options at all price points. While Palato is not an expensive restaurant, it certainly is pathetic. Considering how aesthetic and elegant Italy and Italians are, it is hard to understand how a bland and unsavory place like this can survive, other than to rob unsuspecting tourists. I can 't imagine anyone dining here would leave satisfied. Oh, and our simple pasta dishes (and the shredded lettuce) took over 30 minutes to arrive, although the restaurant was half empty.
Amazing pasta. The cacio e pepe is spectacular, just like in Rome. Super recommended
I ate cacio e peppe, tiramisu and I drank limoncello and prosecco. The best in region!! I highly recommend to come and try this restaurant
