Bidra med feedbackNice service and atmosphere, but nothing vegan! We came for coffee and cake and there was no facility available. You said all the elements on the menu could be made vegan eggs Benedict? Beef and bacon? But it is a beautiful airy restaurant with beautiful music and service with a smile.
A warm, nutritious alternative to endless chips that a vegan dish of “creamy” mushrooms is still decidedly strange. Basically mushrooms cooked in coconut cream on dry bread.
I stopped here this morning and had the creamy mushrooms on toast. Not really my thing, it had a very strong coconut taste and I couldn't really taste the mushrooms. There are countless places that offer vegan food in this city, so I was happy to at least eat something. The coffee on the other side was the best I had in a very long time, so that was great.
Waited in Otorohanga for a group who were at Waitomo caves. Comfy couches here, great gluten free options in the cabinet. Prices quite high at $15 for a large salad, but generous helping and tasty. Coffee quite weak but good choices of alternative milks.
A lovely cafe, situated across from the Library. It's easy to miss when driving the busy main street, so use the Library as your landmark. Lovely food and coffee and they even have gifts. It's become a regular favourite and they do great salads.
