I wish I could cook roast lamb like I just had, I just had the leftovers cold for lunch and that was amazing still, I had roast lamb, cauliflower in cheese sauce, scalloped potatoes, Roast Potatoe, Roast Kumera, Steamed Kumera, steamed carrot, steamed pumpkin, brocolli and onion. If it sounds like a lot, it is. Good portions, so much flavour. Also on their menu is curried sausages and I am going to have those next time as I probably have not had them for 35 years or more. I will be back.

Edit: Been ‘Temporarily Closed’ for two years. Pull the bandaid off already! All good things come to a end so just pull the plug. ‘Was’ Without a doubt the best roast shop in all of Auckland. Absolutely delicious meat, perfectly cooked and moist roast potatoes and vegetables, and always the perfect amount of Gravy Apple Sauce. This was topped with excellent service means I was a regular and used to recommended to anyone who was after a roast meal. Was 10/10!!

100% best roast I’ve ever had. The meat is sensational, the veggies are to die for and the service is fantastic. Really wish they were open 7 days but you can’t have it all. One of my favourite places to get a feed from

Great for an affordable lunch or dinner in Kingsland. Great roasts but also amazing pies made with flaky puff pastry and delicious fillings (the steak and cheese is a classic but the lamb and rosemary is equally good)
