I’ve lived 6 months in India and are therefore quite picky when it comes to Indian restaurants, and I have tried many in Oslo with mediocre success. We visited Bombay Cuisine on a date and left very happy- their food is delicious and clearly homemade. Food, service and ambiance taken together, I give them 5/5.
I’ve had takeout food here for many years. Service is good. But portions and what’s in them has been gradually “less” and prices gone up. Although it seems that holding back on cheese cubes and chicken pieces is a way they use to keep prices from going up even more. Dear restaurant people do notice this.
I am a big fan of Indian cuisine and have visited many Indian restaurants in Norway, Finland, and my home country of Czech Republic. I must say, the food at this restaurant was delicious! I tried the chicken corma, which was excellent, and my friend had the Mango chicken, which was also very good, although a bit sweet for our taste. The Pappadam was included in the price, which was a nice touch, and the garlic naan was good, although not the best I've ever had. We dined there last week and are planning to go back today, so I can confidently say that this restaurant is quite nice. The service was also very friendly. We will definitely be returning soon.
Genuinely shocked by what I witnessed in this restaurant. I went there with my mum. The restaurant said they have a minimum one dish policy, completely fair. We said we’ll do takeaway since we already had snacks elsewhere and got one dish and 3 naans. The naan was raw. I took it back to the restaurant and the lady said it looks done. She said she can do new ones but it’ll take time. Fair okay, that was upsetting, serving raw bread and then having to wait a lot longer. Next I post about this on Google review, and can’t believe what the restaurant is saying. They are discriminating against Indians and saying Indians just want free food. This is big time upsetting. Just look at the pictures. Spreading awareness so the owner can treat Indians and anyone else for that matter with respect.
