Bidra med feedbackStayed here one night on a business trip. The lobby was very crowded when I arrived because they have a show that goes on. Check in was easy and the room was amazing! Very large, clean, and plenty of amenities. Decent options for the breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel was in close proximity to everything. Front desk staff wasn't very knowledgeable of surrounding locations to eat, so check Yelp for specific food types you may want rather than asking them. Checked out and wanted to wander the city for the day before heading to the hotel. The guy at the front desk that day was awesome! Kept the bags next to the desk and was helpful when it was time to pick them up. Overall great place to stay if you're in downtown Oslo!
This is a very nice boutique hotel and it's location makes it particularly special. It's located directly across the street from beautiful Spikersuppa Park where there are benches, water fountains and street performers. Plus, it's located two or three blocks away from the National Theater subway/bus stops, city hall, and Karl Johan's Gate (lots of restaurants located in this street). One thing about Olso is that if you wish to get around you'll have to get familiar with the public transportation system and its bus stops. Taxi's are sort of expensive. My room was decorated wonderfully in a nice Scandanavian design. It contained many dark colored woods and fabrics which is not typical when I think of Scandanavian design, but it worked overall for the room. The breakfast, provided with the room fee, was also very nice. It's not a large hotel so its 2nd floor restaurant isn't very big. It's quaint, cozy, and supplied with all the breakfast basics. I loved sitting near the bright windows and overlooking Spikersuppa Park. A free dinner came with my room fee too but I never partaked in it because I was never around during dinner time. There was a staff member always present at the front desk. I inquired about this just to be sure. The only reason I knock off a star is because of it's price. It was a little pricey for me but that might have been because I booked my room at the last minute. I say if you can get a good deal on price, then go for it...
We picked this hotel based on its proximity to the train stop. The location also must be near multiple night spots as it was loud late with the sounds of music and people being drunk. There is a very cool looking dark and moody bar connected to the lobby. We upgraded our room to have one with a nice big bath tub and a bit more room space it was a good decision! Working lift enabled us to get our luggage and little one in a stroller up to our room without an issue. Breakfast was included and had ok offerings. The free WiFi was really not good, I hope the staff looks into that soon.
The hotel is pretty, teatro is great and the rooms are clean. But, the staff seems young and inexperienced, and the hotel manager is rude and obnoxious.
We stayed one last night in Oslo after a two week trip across Norway and Germany. We were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The decorations were beautiful and the rooms well equipped. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff so helpful and professional. The best part was the free breakfast! This was our favorite breakfast of the entire vacation. The French pressed coffee with freshly steamed milk was the icing on the cake. Location was perfect for walking distance to anything that you would be interested in. We only wished we could stay longer! We picked this hotel because it was a 3 minute walk to the train station and Flytoget that goes express to airport.
