The Globe restaurant is a great place to enjoy chinese cuisine for a couple, small family or a big get together for a family or event. Always offering seating for both large and small settings. The food is consistently delicious, fresh and fast to the table.. Top notch servers.. friendly and very very good at getting customers needs met... they are a mainstay in Oshawa and a super place to bring your kids as they offer a menu for both asian and canadian foods .. If you love the Canadian styled blend of asian culture this is reasonable and delicious.

WE ordered Spicy Beef and Peppers, Sweet n Sour Chicken Balls, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Soo Guy (with almonds and gravy) and Egg Rolls as well as Sweet n Sour Wontons. There was no plum sauce or soy sauce included with order for egg rolls and rice. The chicken with almonds and gravy had no almonds at all and the chicken was so dry it required a steak knife to cut it- not to mention the color of the gravy looked charcoal gray and was very unappetizing. The spicy beef had no spice at all and you needed a microscope to find the chicken in the balls. The best part of the meal was the Depp Fried Wontons which is kind of sad since they are almost impossible to mess up. There wasn't so much as one fortune cookie in the order which is a standard. Never again.

Have been going here for years.......through the ups and downs the Globe has had. It is still good but sometimes it is hit and miss with quality. They have to watch that.

The previous review to this mentions greasy fried rice. How about gross. I order their egg drop soup...my goodness I didn't order scrambled eggs in soup with frozen peas and carrots and canned mushrooms...gross. The ribs or just pieces of breaded pork deep fried. When I mentioned that the food wasn't really that good, the server said "thank you". I have lived here a long time and saw some reviews that made it out to be not that bad. Come on Oshawa and Durham region, most of the chinese out here sucks! There is a place on thickson rd at the no frills plaza there that is actually quite good...Never again to this whole
