If you love curry and are in the Shinsaibashi/Dotomburi area, give this place a try! Laid back local vibe. Dishes appear made to order. Prices are very fair but note by default the curries could be on the hot side! I got the M3 Chicken Curry and it was a lot of food for me.
This place was around the corner from our stay and we could smell the curry every morning. Decided to stop by and check it out. The curry was really good. I had the beef (wagyu) it had a really good spice level and portion size was very good as well. My wife had the spinach and vegetable curry which was also very good. The pickled sides are also good. Help to prevent the carb overload. Would come back.
Excellent curry, very large servings! We ordered the five curry and chicken cutlet curry. Service was good the food took around 20 mins to arrive as there were only two people working, but it was really worth the wait! Only drawback is that smoking is allowed inside the restaurant.
Not really Japanese curry. It's pretty spicy, even for Singaporean standards normal spicy), so definitely not the usual Japanese curry. They sell Indian-Japanese style dishes. Shrimp was dry and hard, crab cream croquette didn't really taste like anything. Just stick to either the chicken or pork katsu. On the pricier side ~1000 yen on average). One can find much better Japanese curry at other restaurants for less than 1000 yen. English menu available, so probably a suitable place for tourists.
