We went here to have our first matsuzaka beef experience and it was quite pleasant. The server also speak chinese and give us some travelling tips. The food was great but it's pretty much self served bbq. You'll get to choose the combo of which part of the beef you want, but don't expect large portion. Similar to fine dining , 1 or 2 piece per section of the beef usually. Menus are also available on their website, ranging from 3700 to 9000 yen and we choose the 5800 yen combo.
We made reservations in advance online before coming here. There was no hassle on the website or when we arrived. We did 2 Premium set course and everything was pretty good. The 4 cuts of meat were pretty solid and the cold noodles were good (like korean naengmyun w ramen noodles). I'd pass on the garlic fried rice tho... it was kind of whatever's to me. Honestly, if I could redo the entire experience over again, I would have just done the beef sushi the entire meal through. The beef was perfectly seared and was delicious. Plus, bc I'm from Los Angeles, I do a TON of kbbq, so doing the bbq here was not a big deal... it is a pricey meal, so I'd only recommend this if you have the money and if you're staying in Osaka for a while and have eaten everything else already.
The atmosphere is really nice, everyone get a stall with a table and a grill in the middle. Making it a really good place for groups. Good selection of meat. Missing kobe though. The meat itself was really good and tender. We had the dx plate for three people and it was enough meat for us. Also had the garlic rice, I highly recommend getting this. I would come back here again if I'm ever in Osaka again
It’s like the TGIFridays of beef. Very touristy given the global reputation. Set menus and food delivered without much fanfare in factory style. There’s nothing wrong with that exactly, but if you want to understand what you’re being served, you’ll have to ask. No one came to ask me whether I’d enjoyed my meal or wanted anything else. No one offered me a new drink after I’d finished my tea. I sat waiting for a bill and ultimately just got up and paid in the front (is that the process? . If you want a more intimate experience, find a smaller place. You get a lot of meat for under $60, but the thicker cuts I had were all chewy. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be? The beef “sushi” was really good and the garlic rice didn’t disappoint.
