Bidra med feedbackBindu is now the popular Indian restaurant of my husband in Osaka. Between us, we tried three different curries and our favorite was the herbal curry. The cheese naan had a lot of cheese and was not too sweet. It has the perfect balance. We ordered the children meal for our daughter (15m) and there was plenty of food; too much for them. It had rice, Naan, Curry, orange slices and Lassi. I think it'll be perfect for her when she's older. The restaurant was for the weekend lunch, but we didn't have to wait for a table. There was a short waiting time to get a server attention and order, but then the food came quickly.
I'm craving Indian foods so I googled some fine Indian restaurants. There were lots of fines but Bindu was my choice for good customer reviews. I ordered the B lunch and choose keema curry. The chef moderates the spice level as you wish. Thus, the curry wasn't extremely spicy. As I'm a cheese lover, I ordered the cheese naan, for an additional ¥150. It was so yummy. They have a side menu of samosas which perfect combination with lassi. Satisfied with bringing my friend at a reasonable cost.
Excellent curry lunch for ¥1100 with free nan refills, as much as you can eat. I got the medium spicy (5) which was hot enough for me, while my friend got the spiciest (level 30).
We went there for first time to give a trail. But their cook provided what we expect from an Asian restaurant, being a vegetarian it was difficult to have a full course of meal with so many non vegetarian and sea food options on table. But thanks for settling our tastebuds with nice food. After first trail we went on for next three days dinner. Dal tadka Chole Panner masala Mushroom chilli Chesse chilli Paratha Naan Baigan bartha Pani puri as well. Were some highlights.. best one was cheese chilli loved it. KHUKRI rum with hot water act as heating layer in Osaka chilli winter. Must visit for people looking for vegetarian options. Sorry we didn't took any food pics as we were hungry so focus was on eating rather than clicking.
The food is not bad, it is not exceptional either. I can name at least 5 other restaurants that serve the same quality food. The high reviews confused me as I had a very subpar experience there. The lunch set D seemed quite expensive (for 980, you get a salad, a nan, a curry, a desert and a drink). Any other places do lunch sets way cheaper. Went there because I am a fan of the Bindu at Hankyu 32 building. Maybe pandemic caused a price hike, who knows. It was still better than every Indian (Nepalese) restaurants you find in your local alleyways.
