La Casetta Di Tamarete - ORTONA

I was pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant on the outskirts of Ortona. The details of the decor are beautiful, from hand painted light fixtures, to hand made linen curtains. The food is all authentic and as an agriturismo, must serve food from the land apparantly. We ordered both hot and cold antipasti and had at least 10 different items to sample. Some were so interesting, like the Baccala and bean salad, Tripe and these cheese balls in sauce called 'Cacio e Ova '. The portions are huge! After the first course of two different pastas, a ricotta ravioli and an artisan pasta called 'introciele ' I think! with an arriabiata sauce, we were almost full! The second course was a mixture of grilled meats, all very tasty. I would reccomend this place based on cuteness alone, but the food is fantastic also.

Local just outside vegetable garden. rustic right, nice and clean. very courteous and hospitable waiters and managers. Outdoor dinner is a show. well-kept and equipped garden for children. excellent value for money. aperitif, 2 appetizers, 2 seconds sweet wine coffee 38 euros ... I highly recommend to dine or eat away from the confusion and lime of the center and then in 5 minutes to make a nice walk to orthona.

Farm with local food, excellent value for money.

Quiet and cozy place, very efficient staff and great food with all the products of the territory.
