Bidra med feedbackStill has wonderful chili. The onion rings are homemade, but something too salty. The portions are always great, the prices are just so high that we can't go even a week. Now it could be every other month. Beautiful family-style area.
Feeling hometown. Chili verde nachos were simple, but solid in taste and the meat was beautiful size. No meats here. Half dollar size. Melted goat cheese stretching and a really good portion of guacamole. In addition, a mushroom had added cheese burgers with onion rings. Very delicious. The beautiful bartender board made smooth drinks, gave great service and is able to speak and work at the same time. Great service.
OMG my new favorite place in Oroville! The fish tacos/shrimp tacos are phenomenal! My husband likes the wings! The homemade perpetrators are like hash brown balls with tiny spices and are delicious, the grain burritos are like taquitos with means and cheese inside! I've eaten here almost daily for the last month or that's good. Now they are open Tues-Fri 11am-7pm Sat-Sun 11-4pm Dress in and pull out!
Drive down from Quincy, we decided to take a detour to Mike's Burgers because we wanted to apply a local restaurant over a chain and it looked like a great place to hang out and have a burger on our long trek home. But when we arrived, we discovered that they were closed. We had specifically searched Google for restaurants that were open. It seems that management forgets to update their holiday seasons on Google My Business. Big bummer. Everything was not lost, however, as the streets and another highway to the Yuba city – the plum capital of the world. There we found an in-and-out (good ole Trusty Gal she is and paid only $22 for two burgers, two pommes, two soft drinks and one shake. Such a bargain! We also discovered a fertile chicken followed by her 7 baby chicks. Spring jumped!! In the same parking lot we discovered a **** (can be the father of the baby and his girlfriend). On our way out of town we saw dozens of chickens, cocks and baby chicks who lived their best life. It turns out that Yuba City is one of two Californian cities offering a persistent fertile chicken population. And according to locals, the chickens are pretty smart and wait until the lights change before they cross the road. So if you go south and try to stop in Mike, but they are closed, take a trip to Yuba City to see the second largest fertile chicken population in California. (Last I give 4/5 stars, because I am sure they are great, but seven hours later I am still cheated that they neglect to update their vacation times. Nevertheless, we were able to explore an area that we might never have dared otherwise in a Robert Frostian way.
The restaurant was very clean and so was the restrooms. Our waitress was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. I ordered a philly tri-tip sandwich with garlic fries. My order arrived quickly, and was very hot. My sandwich was delicious. The reason I gave Mike's a 4 star rating was his tempura breading on the fries. The breading gave the fries a fishy flavor. I enjoyed my visit, I hope to try a hamburger next time.
