The pub is nice but the food could have been hotter. The main meal was just warm, as if it was done ready to come out and was waiting a while. I would return and try again. My partner, two kids, and I recently visited this restaurant for a roast dinner. Unfortunately, many items on the menu were not available, including mashed potatoes for our roast. They offered us rice as a substitute. The restaurant was not very busy, and I can see why. The roast itself was underwhelming, and the chicken appeared to be past its prime. The staff seemed disinterested in their work. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and great potential, but in our opinion, the service and food need improvement.

The pies were overcooked to the point where there was no filling left. The fish was burnt and greasy, and the lemon served with it had no juice. Overall, the food was rated a 1, service a 2, and atmosphere a 2.
