Boatwright's Dining Hall - Orlando

Great Disney restaurant for the family. We were able to make changes to selected items to remove foods we did not like.

The food was very good (especially the corn bread! and the waiter we had had an amazing personality, attention to detail, and overall exceptional service. However, the air conditioning was so high that it made it difficult to focus on enjoying the meal. I've never dined in a restaurant that was so cold. If I had known and been prepared with a thick sweatshirt or jacket I would've enjoyed the experience a lot more.

The food was good and service was great. Portions were pretty small and underwhelming for what they cost.

The food was very good. We both got the sampler. It was way too much food. The meal started with a very nice cornbread. Then the sampler came. We don't know how people get 2nds. While most of the plate was very good, neither of us liked the chicken. Peter was excellent. Came to refill our drinks at the right time. He also came to check on us enough times.

Atmosphere-5 stars- Located in Port Orleans Riverside Resort- beautiful restaurant themed after a wooden boat workshop. Place was immaculate with tons of seating. Loved the wooden floors and the incomplete wooden boat hull on display. Service- 5 stars- My server was Yorgui- very friendly, helpful and attentive guy. He answered all my questions and didn’t make me feel rushed. I enjoyed talking to him. Food- 5 stars- I have been wanting to try this place for years and finally I made it and so glad I did. The menu is New Orleans/Cajun themed. Started off with some complimentary corn bread and fresh brewed iced tea (not instant nor from fountain) great tea and the corn bread was really good as well. I then got the French Onion soup- one of the best I have ever had. My main course was The Taste of the Bayou- alittle sample of hickory smoked ribs(fell off the bone delicious), crispy Cajun boneless all white meat chicken (so good with just a hint of kick), smoked sausage, bbq beef brisket (so tender), mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, green beans and roasted corn on the cob. This was all you care to eat but one plate was enough for me. I loved this restaurant. Everything was cooked perfect. Highly recommend!!!
