Bidra med feedbackI adore a well-preserved neolithic monument that is centuries old. The meaning behind these ancient stones remains a mystery, adding to their allure and intrigue.
Welcome to the Orkney Islands, also known as the "heart of Neolithic Orkney." This place is full of surprises that will transport you back in time to when people lived here years ago. As I watched a documentary about these islands on National Geographic, I was immediately captivated. I am particularly proud of the Standing Stones of Stenness, a Neolithic monument that is truly awe-inspiring.
The restaurant is situated next to a large, impressive stone circle that is hundreds of years old. It is easily accessible by foot and has a unique atmosphere. However, the area can be muddy and is not wheelchair accessible. The parking lot is small. While not as impressive as Brodgar, it is definitely worth a visit and may be one of the tallest stone circles in Great Britain.
Wonderfully atmospheric place, impeccable. to visit a place whether they are a historyd buffalo or not. beautifully marked hike to the ring of brodgar straight the road that gives a real sense for the place. I strongly recommend the short walk to the Barnhouse site only on the back of the stones, very interesting and again adds to the sense of the opposite and what it could be was ample parking on both sides, with disabled parking on the ring of the brodgar.
They are cool historical stones the nealy redesigned car park is a treat too!
