Il Rugantino - Oria

Nice location,race and kindness from all staff including owners, service speed, a wide choice of 104 different pizzas. pizza is really good, excellent quality of raw materials, if I have to find a 2,50 euros covered per person for an open restaurant seems excessive as the price of drinks, for the rest we found very well.

We just wanted a pizza so found this place on Trip Advisor and reviews varied from terrible to excellent. I think our visit proved why. Whilst the pizza and wine were very good the service was slow and unattentive. Also,we were informed on arrival that there was no cook so only pizza was available. The waitress was friendly enough but the place was packed with people also waiting on the street for seats it was too much for one person. We will go back even if it is just to confirm our experience.

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly the setting just off the busy square in Oria was perfect. I can recommend the pasta with the lemon pesto prawns; absolutely delicious! My family also recommended the pasta with Rugatino special sauce the pizzas.

We had the menu of the day and it was delicious. Simple, but perfect.. One tip, Don't drink the house wine!!!

We waited almost an hour for our meal, including what we would consider simple first courses. This is possibly related to the festival at the time and the restaurant being full but in our eyes still no excuse. At least let your customers know about the wait and let them decide if they want to stay or not. For me this is a sign of bad service. Fortunately the food was good. The steak only average but the different types of pasta were really good, both their taste and presentation.
