Ihop - Oregon City

I like this IHOP when I go there, my server was very nice and willing to make substitutions for healthier choices like replacing my fries with green beans. I was treating my friend and her daughter and the price was very affordable because of their Kids Eat Free time which I never knew about (it's after 4, I believe. I got the crispy shrimps, which were decent.

We came here after my year old son’s school got out. Restaurant is super clean, food was delicious and the our server, Mike, was literally one of the best servers I have ever had.We ordered a kids pancake meal, strawberry cheesecake waffle and the bacon bourbon jam burger, a must try! What a jam!He treated my son as someone individual and someone special. My son could feel his sincerity and said to give him a gizillion out of 10 stars. I point this out because kids don’t always have good days. Mike certainly didn’t know, but he made my son’s day great!No photo because we scarfed down the food.

The building was clean as well as the bathrooms. I was impressed until my food came. There was only one other customer in the building. My toast was hard and cold and my breakfast bowl was cold and the cheese was not melted at all. There was zero butter on any peices of my sons or my toast. The hashbrowns were stale like uncooked noodles. This was yesterday 1-26-24. I did not leave a tip and will not be going back to this I hop in oregon city.

Has become one of our favorite spots to eat. Kids eat free after 4 so you cant go wrong with that! We're always seated quickly and the food is always good.

I want to start with I LOVE IHOP. I have worked at a location before and come regularly to different joints. The first time I came here it was great. I even had the same server. She was on her feet and had a great attitude. Today, I show up and after waiting for a bit at the front (when the entire restaurant was empty) i thought they were closed but waited just in case. Finally I was seated and was able to order. I ordered and literally just had started eating when my server goes in the back, with managers present, and proceeds to joke around and swear, and also did not tell me before seating me that they were closing due to weather. Otherwise i would have just waited till they were fully open. Then and I kid you not 15 minutes after I received my food I got the bill, with the excuse of “we’re closing in 10 minutes.” I arrived at 1:15 pm. Yes there was weather but nothing terrible, I drove 25 minutes to eat there. I understand closing early but the establishment could have told me they were closing within the hour before seating me. That and with the gossip and swearing I heard being seated was unacceptable, I have been a server in the past and that should never fly. Gossip where the customer cant hear you, especially when its dead and the one person on the floor can hear everything loud and clear.
