Bidra med feedbackAfter a day walking the volcanos around Puy du Dome we stumbled across the Auberge des Domes almost by accident looking for somewhere nice to eat. The place itself is charming and rustic and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the famous truffade, the beef with blue cheese sauce and the plate of regional meats and cheeses and it was all excellent. The final bill was less than €120 for 4x mains, 4x desserts plus drinks, wine and coffees. Would highly recommend this lovely little gem.
Amazing traditionnal and local French cuisine in a welcoming and cosy place. I recommend the 24-euro menu (first course-main course-dessert included) or the famous truffade (made up of potatoes, local cheese, garlic and salt, served with green salad). Red wine will go well with the truffade or meat (better white one with fish). Don 't forget to order a kir au birlou as aperitif, and your meal will be perfect !
This restaurant has a limited menu, but offers good food and pleasant service. Good local wines too. There are tables outside and the interior dining room is quite small. Excellent cheeseboard.
