Bidra med feedbackAbsolutely beautiful place. It was our first time visiting Oratino and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The whole town was very pretty with the sweet smell of jasmine in the air. The restaurant itself is very beautiful with gorgeous vaulted ceilings and a lovely patio area for those who wish to dine outside. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We ordered a starter, main (secondi piatti) and dessert. All of our courses were well presented and gorgeous, giving us a real taste for good Italian cuisine.
Excellent food and drinks , very nice rustic italian restaurant, indoor and outdoor seating and prices are very good value, Very happy .
We went to visit Oratina and came across this restaurant whilst strolling the streets and exploring this beautiful town. We received such a friendly welcome and the manager assisted us in choosing from their menu. The food was sublime, the service was brilliant and we enjoyed the ambiance, so much so, we returned twice! It is advisable to note their trading hours before your visit. A reservation is also recommended.
Omicello dining is set in a lovely and impressive environment. Walking up and in instantly raises an eyebrow. Such an inviting introduction can easily make one feels more alert than anticipated. There are a number of different dining rooms in this winsome structure, so reflective of Oratina 's and equally a vastly impressive Molise week 's charming ways. Our host/(owner? is a much-polished professional with a charming underlying hint of welcoming warmth. My wife ordered a winsome homemade orecchiette with porcini mushrooms and I a very rare basic cheese raviolo red. I say rare because since my Sicilian parents ' passing decades ago, ravioli of any kind tends bland or heavy, insipid or starchy and invariably disappointing, especially one so fundamental (and equally easily disastrous unapproachable as a potential primi choice. Yet watching multiple antipasti, primi and secondi passing by and overwhelmed with their generous and appealing creativity, I took an unanticipated Kierkegaardian leap of faith , which proved so richly rewarding. I 'd not had a similar core experience with the most single most basic tomato cheese ravioli option in decades. My wife chose a simple sausage secondo and I a lamb with a side of shared broccoli and half-liter of local red. Perhaps each was a mistake, though we were in the mood for something simple, even down to a simple cheesecake and espresso. As piatto after piatto framing every variety of indulgence passed to other tables, I kept saying to myself silly things like , Ooh, mmm, dagnabit! I coulda had that, or that or that . One little aside. Water is still served in pitchers unless requested otherwise, cost free, an ever rarer occurrence anywhere in Europe in this millennium. The bill proved a great value, instantly driving the cost to quality ratio to yet another excellent proportion. It 's difficult imagining anyone not pleased with a final cost. My only regret is that lovely Oratina is a bit too far for a repeat (and more adventurous dining performance at Omicello in our Termoli week. P.S. Moise 's daily proving amazing in its vast beauty, dining options, settings, history as well as range of archeologic/historic abundance, Omicello being an excellent exemplar of same.
Suggestivo posto all'interno di un edificio storico nel borgo di Oratino. ottima posizione, soprattutto fuori, con splendida vista. ottima cortesia dal personale e ottimi piatti.
