Thar Indian Cuisine - Orange

After having Google maps mislead us, we finally found the restaurant. We were looked after very quickly, the food was very tasty (hot enough for us to enjoy) and, while the servings were not overly big, they were sufficient. Prices were also acceptable.

This was my first visit to this restaurant with friends, and it was excellent! The service and food quality were top-notch. A special mention to Rohit, who was extremely friendly and provided exceptional customer service, which is rare to find in other restaurants. The food was perfectly hot, just the way I like it. I highly recommend this place and would come back again without hesitation!

We went to Thar Indian Cuisine in Orange on 10th June. Once we ordered the food, we realised that the restaurant’s heating wasn’t working and despite our pleas with two kids under the age of 7 nothing conclusive was done to restore the heating. A cold and dingy place with below average quality food and terrible hygiene. A must no go !

After being unable to secure a reservation at several restaurants in Orange 24 hours prior, we were able to book a table at Thar. We were not disappointed. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it was BYO, but they also offered alcohol for sale. The four dishes we shared among the four of us were all delicious, especially the Malai Kofta. I had never tried Kashmiri Naan before, but it was very tasty. Our waitress was charming and attentive. We ended the meal with a delicious Masala Tea. Even though we live in Bathurst, we hope to return to Thar sometime soon. Thank you, Thar, for a wonderful evening.

I visited the restaurant for the goat curry and was not let down. The dish was flavorful and came in a generous portion. The overall experience was very enjoyable.
