Sticky Rice / Ophir Tavern Bistro

Booked for 12, only 8 turned up. No problems for them, even though it was a busy Saturday night. Large beer garden with easy to view TVs (Australian Open was on) with tables and cubicles. Great kids fenced playground. Food was well cooked with sensible servings on the larger side without being ridiculously big. Staff were well drilled and very nice. Everyone in our group enjoyed the evening and will return.

Yesterday, my wife and I went to lunch with our two young children at this restaurant. We really enjoyed the decor and layout of the place, and the atmosphere was fabulous. The distance between tables was just right- not too close to other diners. We also loved the cleanliness of the beer garden and alfresco dining area, as well as the large TV. The kids had a great time at the playground. The lunch we had was delicious and the portions were generous. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and the prices were more affordable compared to other restaurants in Orange. I ordered the steak sandwich and my wife had the fish tacos, while the kids enjoyed the nuggets and chips. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

I highly recommend the Ophir Tavern. It is an amazing restaurant with a clean and welcoming environment. The staff are lovely, polite, and friendly. The food and drinks are excellent, and the service is top-notch. It is a cozy spot perfect for winter. They have a VIP room for poker machines and allow smoking while playing. Light snacks and drinks are offered while gaming. There is also a kids play area and ample parking.

We have had lunch at this restaurant multiple times and have always been pleased with the meals, especially when selecting from the specials board. The staff are friendly and there is a wide selection of options on the menu. You may also have some luck playing Keno or a slot machine if you are interested. They also have full TAB facilities available. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant.
