Country Cookin - Orange

. We love this place to eat. You have the best breakfast, lunch, dinner. All you want is the freshest food at any time. The cook makes the best flounder I've ever had. The salad bar has everything you want. The homemade roles are just like my mother who went back in the 50s to die for. Overall, this is one of the best country cooking restaurants I've ever been. The foods like the country fried steak, are so homemade their desserts are all homemade the atmosphere is just a lot of locals and a few like me tourists. I really grew up there in orange, but for over 50 years here in Virginia Beach, so I am happy to go to the country every time I'm home. Try not to be disappointed.

The meats are great and the potatoes options are really good. The items on the bar are good but can be a bit bland. Salt helps but everyone's palette is different. Great salad bar options. Staff is friendly. Drink prices are a bit high so we get water.

As good now as it was several years ago when we first ate there with two hungry teens. Excellent service and freshly prepared entrees and buffet items make for a relaxed and very casual easy dining option when no one is really certain exactly what they want and all agree that a wide variety is the best option. Easy on family budgets and a place were no one leaves hungry.

We had an excellent experience with fantastic service and tasty food during our first visit to this area. We were in search of a buffet restaurant, and this one was conveniently close. You can order a whole meal and add unlimited soup and salad for just an extra $2. We had chicken and beef, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There’s also a BBQ, bar, and grill right nearby, plus a Dollar General just a couple of shops down the same strip.

I absolutely loved it here! From the moment I walked in, I felt the warmth of home cooking and southern hospitality. I was treated wonderfully and the food was even better! The salad bar and buffet were fantastic, featuring fresh greens, hot soups, and chili. And I can't forget the desserts—I had to resist overindulging with all the great options. This place definitely deserves five stars! A special thank you to Miss Brenda for being a fantastic host!
