Boar And Marlin - Opononi

17/01/22 Enjoyed a lovely meal here with friends this evening. The steak meals were very good, the mussel fritters whilst not wholly mussel were tasty as was the salad with them. The banana dessert was delicous. Thankyou for an enjoyable evening. The reviews in the past have not been that complimentary but we were surprised and delighted to find the food lovely. We will return again.

Waited 2hrs for food. Food was quite average. Very small portion size for the chicken and pizza was burnt. Go to the takeaways next door.

Had a lovely meal at the Boar and Marlin tonight. After seeing some average reviews was pleasantly surprised with a very helpful and friendly waiter, nice meals that both kids and adults were happy with and a beautiful outlook to enjoy while eating your meal.

Wait time was way too long, music playing was ancient, Bd food quality was below standard. The only thing happening for this place was the male staff member who took time to apologize for the long wait and offered us a complementary drink. Didnt get his name but he was awesome!

Disappointing...Hotel/Bar/Restaurant trading on its location...food choices very limited ..whole vibe is stuck in the 70s....recommend heading to Rawene instead
