Zazu Gastropub - Opelika

The food and atmosphere were great. I mean, the blackened redfish was one of the better seafood dishes I have had anywhere, at any price. Everything was really, really good except for the service...which was just okay. The server didn't seem completely with it, at all.Oh yeah...if you have disabilities, make sure you tell the wait staff ahead of time. Otherwise, you will be walking up and down stairs.

We had brunch at Zazu on Sunday and it was fantastic. Definitely my new favorite restaurant in the Auburn/Opelika area. Everything we had was great. The food was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The chicken and waffles were the best I’ve ever had. Super cool atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended.

Writing this review because we're deciding where to go for dinner tonight, and it's honestly hard to find a place that we would want to go to more than Zazu including trying something new. I have lived in Auburn for four years or so, and Zazu is the best restaurant in town, hands down. The prices are reasonable, the food is incredible, the environment is perfect, and the service is always top notch. Always ALWAYS recommend. (Specifically The Gambler Burger and Poutine are to DIE FOR)

No trip to Auburn is complete without a stop in Opelika. And no stop in Opelika is complete without a stop at Zazu Gastropub. Such a cool vibe from start to finish and the food is out of this world. We enjoyed the house pastrami Reuben and the French Dip sandwiches, both of which were delicious. And don’t forget to add on the duck fat fries that are not to be missed. The fry sauce alone is worth the trip. Fill up at Zazu and you’ll be ready to explore all of historic downtown Opelika.
