Via Mar Grill Cantina - Ontario

At first impression this place looked like my wife and I would have a nice dinner here. Live lobsters as you walk in, and a couple nice large dining rooms. Once seated our waiter approached our table and asked us if we spoke Spanish. We said no only English. He then was rude and even ignored a question I was asking and left our table to seat another guest that he obviously knew. The food was OK, nothing spectacular, but the prices were reasonable. Another guest arrived that was obnoxiously loud and had bad language on his cell speaker phone. This person should have been asked to go outside for his conversation, but none of the staff seemed to care. We will not go back to this place again, and it's too bad since it was located across the street from our hotel.

Low stars for poor customer service and mediocre food. Our waiter quite literally said about a dozen words to us. He dropped off our food and never returned to ask how everything was or to see if we needed anything else. One of our order wasn’t as we requested and he never fixed it after we asked. We had to walk to the front to get our check to pay. We could have seriously walked out without paying and it wouldn’t have been noticed. To be fair, other tables looked like they were probably getting a little more attention than us. So maybe we just got a lemon waiter…..oh, like the yellow “lime” they served me with my corona!!

Today I decided to try this place based on Google reviews. I was very disappointed. I ordered to garnel fajitas and mixed fajitas and they were tasteless. no taste at all. the chicken was gummy together with the garnels over cooked. I wouldn't recommend anything. because that was my main course, I am uncertain how others are. they stay away from the fajitas.

This Fajitas is amazing! Served on sizzling plate, called Land Sea and Sky Fajitas. With carne asada, chicken and shrimp over onions, cucumber and bell peppers. Via-Mar Grill and Bar in Ontario.

I was working in the area looking for Mexican food after work. Decided to try this place, takeout order. Carne Asada burrito, chips salsa to go. Arrived at hotel close by. Pleasantly surprised very delicious, very tasty. Fresh cooked ingredients, etc. If in the area again will definitely return.
