Blue Bird Restaurant and Tavern

Oh my goodness, this small town Chinese Canadian food is iconic. The dishes are well-prepared and the portions are generous. It is clear that this bustling restaurant is a beloved staple of the community for good reason.

I have visited The Bird numerous times for a combo #1, Harry's Famous wings, and the buffet. The food is consistently amazing and the service is excellent! I would definitely recommend it, 10/10. Make the trip to Levack to enjoy the stunning scenery and savor the best Chinese cuisine in Greater Sudbury.

The Won Ton soup at this restaurant is outstanding. The chicken balls are consistently fresh and flavorful, and the peppered pork is absolutely fantastic! This is definitely the best Chinese food around.

I had the combo #5 (guy ding) for lunch today. It came with an egg roll, chicken fried rice, and the main of guy ding. This version of guy ding is made with chicken, celery, and carrots. The sauce was very good. The highlight was the egg roll. I'm usually not very enthusiastic about egg rolls but this one was delicious. Not exactly sure what the filling was but it certainly was not filled with sprouts like most egg rolls. The combo plate was inexpensive and pretty much what I was expecting.

This is the first time I have ate here and let me tell you...the food is the best I have ever had in the Chinese cuisine. The Won-ton soup, bacon fried rice wings are the best. I've alwasy heard about this place, but never tried it. It was well worth the drive from Sudbury and we will return as often as we can get out to Levack. The owners and there 3 boys are very friendly and helpful to order what you want to eat, if you don't understand the menu.
