Bidra med feedbackThe atmosphere at this restaurant is laid-back and casual. I have never experienced a wait for a table here. The servers are fast and attentive, and the food is served quickly and hot. The quality of the food is consistently good. The only slight drawback (I would give this place 4.5 stars if I could) is the temperature inside, which can be quite chilly.
The food was tasty, but I wished there was more of it. I agree with recent reviews that the portion size was disappointingly small. It didn't seem like a fair trade-off for the price. I paid $14 and some change, but expected a larger portion. When I received my takeout order, it felt very light even before I opened the box. I would be willing to pay more if I knew they used fresh, high-quality ingredients, but I suspect they don't. If this is the case, I would rather go to a different local Thai restaurant at a similar price point that offers more generous portions. Salween has a loyal following, but faces tough competition.
I ordered the soup for $12 and was disappointed to find that it was only half full and missing the vegetables it was supposed to have. I requested a mild spice level of 3 out of 10, but it was so spicy that I could barely eat it, and it had a strange sweet aftertaste. The chicken satay was dry and cold. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. They are dishonest and do not deliver on their promises.
Enjoyed the dine in food. The spice level is true spice and the appetizers were yummy although I didn?t care too much for the dumplings. They don?t take AMEX cards here.
Eating was quite mediocre. we had dinner. appetizers were mediocre, were like prefabricated buffet food. it was worth trying, but not going back. the prices were very reasonable, but I would rather have paid more and had good food. the service was good.
