Bidra med feedbackWe are from out of town, decided on Fernando's. Absolutley loved the atmosphere and food was just as authentic as we were told. CARLOS was our server and he was amazing! The place was packed and he took excellent care of us. If we come back through we will be back!!
My wife and I arrived at 6pm on a Friday night. They were extremely busy. There were a number of people in the front waiting for either 'To Go ' orders or to be seated. We were greeted promptly and put on the wait list. We were told 10-15 minute wait.. We quickly saw a bustling group of employees moving quickly. I 'd say from the time we got there until the time we were seated about 5 or 6 people came in and picked up 'To Go ' orders. We were seated right around 15 minutes so not a long wait. We were quickly addressed after seated. Our waitress took our drink order and returned quickly. We placed our order, my wife got the two taco plate with beans and rice and I got the Fernando 's Favorites plate. Beef Enchilada, one taco with beans and rice. We were served within 10 minutes of placing our order. Surprisingly fast, our waitress checked back often. Very favorable experience, highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Delicious food, ample serving size and super fast service.
The food was absolutely delicious! I had the #2 Fernando's Favorite, which included a beef taco and a seafood enchilada—both were fantastic. Just a heads up, they don’t serve chips and salsa before your meal, which isn't a big deal for me, but some might consider it worth mentioning. If you're still reading, a thumbs up would be appreciated! The frozen margarita was decent but nothing extraordinary; it was fine to drink. The staff were friendly, and while the restroom was clean, it did have a bit of a sewer smell. Overall, it’s a nice spot for lunch!
We dined at Fernando's for the first time on Saturday and were impressed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. However, the margaritas were quite small for $7. They also needed several space heaters to keep the dining area somewhat comfortable, but it was still a bit chilly. The nachos were fantastic, and we found the enchiladas, tacos, and chimichanga to be really good as well.
Fernando's has been a family favorite long before it even opened. We’ve been loyal customers at El Bee’s (which serves the same recipes, though their menus have started to differ) for ages, and we’ve really enjoyed Fernando’s as well. While it’s true that the food isn’t traditional or authentically Mexican—it’s definitely more Americanized Mexican with an abundance of cheese—it offers what I consider the best Mexican comfort food in town. Their fried flour tortilla chips are unique and so delicious that I can’t resist ordering bean dip every time I visit. The enchiladas and tamales are also outstanding. Overall, it’s just an excellent restaurant and definitely one of my top favorites!
