This hotel beach restaurant is very nicely placed on a very quiet, calm beach. The staff are friendly although sometimes their chatting between themselves slows things down a bit. Food is good although a little limited on the seafood front.
As a guests at the hotel, we wanted some drink at the restaurant. When we told the waitress that we dont want dinner, she threw us out of the table. The restaurant was empty and the reservation was not there. Then she accused us that we stole the fork : The top of everything was she threw the bill on the table even though we did not want it. We told her it is very unproffessional and rude. But she brought the bill again that the boss told her. Are you kidding me? Very very inappropriate behavior.
We stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch on our drive from Porticcio to Propriano. We both ordered pasta dishes- one with giant prawns and the other mixed seafood. The sauce was made with rich, creamy fish stock and the prawns were big and juicy. Simply delicious! And for the amount of seafood in each dish, the price (18-20 euro) was a bargain. Foie gras appetizer was very good, though we could tell it's not house-made which is not a good thing for any decent French restaurant. The restaurant has a great view of the ocean in the front and the pool area of the accompanying hotel to the side. Service was good and efficient, if unremarkable. Overall, it was a happy discovery.
Hotel is modern but pleasant in beautiful grounds but the Pailotte restaurant is to be avoided at all costs the food was literally inedible,the steak was sent back to be replaced by poorly cooked fish and smoking was allowed in the restaurant
