Bidra med feedbackThis place is good I like the marshmallow treats and latte I come here from Dallas to visit and make sure I visit 8th street.
Super friendly staff, and as fancy a coffee concoction as you will find.
Prelude is nothing short of phenomenal. In OKC for a work trip and I always try to seek out the best coffee roasters in the city. I asked for my latte to be remade as the espresso was slightly under-extracted to me. They had just opened so it was possible they weren't fully dialed in yet. Abby, the barista, happily remade my latte and the difference was night and day. It was spot on the second time around. She also recommended several outstanding restaurants in the area for me to try during my trip. If you're looking for top-notch espresso, you won’t be disappointed. However, note that there are few outlets available if you're planning to work here for an extended period of time. I would've taken a second latte to go but I wanted to try other places during my short time in OKC.
I can't say enough good things about this coffee shop. It's strange that a place with such good caffeine could make me so calm. It's upstairs in a trendy industrial building, with a train that goes by the window, but from the moment I walked into the coffee shop portion, I felt welcomed and like I belong there. The barista that day, who I think also owns the shop, made great recommendations on the pastries and we had interesting conversations about the local coffee, the items for sale in her shop, and her life. Coffee was nuanced and balanced. And this seems unimportant, but it adds so much to my enjoyment, they had local hand made cups that were just the right size and weight. We came in from out of town, so I'm sad I don't get to go back any time I want.
Prelude has always reminded me of the first local coffee shops that back when there was only one Starbucks in OKC. Those pioneers have given us so many wonderful experiences. Prelude is a warm and inviting space. A great place to get coffee, but also a great place to get some work done. They have retail options from local art, coffee beans, and even some vintage clothing. I got the Kyoto cold brew which is a slow drip process. It has a great flavor. Enjoy!Parking: Plenty of street level parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to the left when you walk in that will take you up to the coffee shop.
