Monterrey Tacos y Mas - Oklahoma City

Ok torta, good soup. The torta didn't stick out from any other authentic Mexican restaurant (good asada meat and everything else, but just didn't stick out), but I like this place because of the soup.Caldo Tlalpeno soup is kind of hard to find. It's a chicken soup with avocado. Initially it wasn't spicy enough, but the delicious salsas (and carrots, and the works) available gave it a delicious flavor. The soup was HUGE. The horchata was the perfect thing to cool down the mouth afterwards. Service was good, with tortillas, pickled carrots, a salsa verde, and a delicious spicy red salsa being given.

Amazing, need a prime location. This taqueria is great! the inside is clean and the waitresses are friendly. my favorite is the tacos de trompo. quick friendly and effecient.

Ok tacos. I ordered the tacos de trompo, which is a Monterrey equivalent to al pastor. it is the same type of meat, but seasoned can be different. it is boiled in the regular on the trompo, which is similar to a redisserie if it would order a gyroscope. they cook the meat on the grill and not on the trompo. eating was good, but I was expecting more and therefore I rated it, I don't like it. I have a family of a friend who owns a monterrey style taqueria in dallas and her eating is so much better. the only place I can compare in oklahoma city the style of Trompo/Pastor-Tacos is abel ́s and abel ́s wins hands down.
