Cultivar Mexican Kitchen

I would've loved to give them i think they offer one of the more unique culinary experiences in the metro, BUT, unfortunately, this manner of customer service has to be addressed. I called to inquire about their happy hour specials the girl who answered the phone said they had several, but she couldn't tell me what they were, so i took my business elsewhere, Cultivar.

I wanted to like it more than I did. The creativity in taco flavors is great. The vibe is cool but the place is loud. They have a somewhat confusing two line system and no small menus to look at while waiting. The presentation of a table's worth of tacos on a platter is fine, except they aren't labeled as to which is which. We also were not given adequate plates or silverware. We did appreciate paper towels on the table since tacos are messy business. Our favorite item was the guac and chips.

A friend and I tried Cultivar for lunch today. The positive - outdoor seating for pretty days like today. We loved that. The rest - pretty blah. The other reviewers are right, the two line situation is a pain. After you order, drinks are in one place, except tea which is someplace else. We got our own flatware. A waitress brought a roll of paper towels to our table. I carried the queso and chips to the table. A waiter delivered our tacos. No plates, no nothing. My tacos and my friend's were served in a single taco holder thing. Odd to put two people's meals together. Tacos - barbacoa, carne asada, carnitas - were dry, dull, blah. There were no real distinguishing flavors, no heat, blah. The barbacoa and the carnitas were very dry. The pickle/cucumber spear on the carnitas had some flavor but couldn't save the taco. I'm glad I tried Cultivar but, for me, it's not craveable. I would have gladly paid $35 for 4 tacos and a side of queso if they'd been great but not for blah.

This place was sooooo good!! The food was so fresh! My carne asada was perfectly seasoned and so tender. The margaritas were on point! They were on the small side but they were strong and delicious. This is definitely going to be a new favorite!

Great service, food and atmosphere! The fresh vegetables and healthy choices are perfect. Salads are large and always fresh. The Pork Carnitas bowl with pineapples, fresh avocado and corn tortillas is excellent!
